Maroon Bells is located near the town of Aspen, high in the mountains of Colorado. In the fall, photographers come from all over the world to photograph this scene, considered by many to be one of the most photographed locations in the U.S.
This image was captured in early October of 2008 while I was touring the Autumn colors of Colorado and Utah. The sun was in my face, giving the mountains a blue tink and creating a beautiful reflection on the water.
Technical Details: Shot with Canon 30D and Canon 28-135mm lens at F16 and 1/40 seconds. Panorama created from 6 vertical bracketted shots.
