In XIX century, besides the newly built high schools, hospitals, theaters, Belgrade got its cult cafe RUSSIAN EMPEROR. Café itself dates from 1890. It was named in honor of the Russian Emperor Alexander II Nikolaevich Romanov (1855-1881), emperor who was the Russian people remembered as a great reformer, and Serbian as a great friend and protector. In its long history RUSSIAN EMPEROR lived together with Belgrade. With his brilliance, flair and good taste has attracted various visitors. Today it is a place of pride in Belgrade. Place where the manners and good taste are above all.
