It does give you the shakes when you are in the train going over it too! Palmina

Greetings Palmina, Nice trestle. I was at the Georgetown loop on Sunday and their high trestle has been replaced with a steel one that has none of the character of this one. Post a picture of the train. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,

Rich

I will..... It only runs during the summer months. You can see some of the train if you google "Selby, Victoria" there are a few photo's there. Cheers from Melbourne, Palmina

I was on Puffing Billy in 1990 & was amazed at the kids sitting with their legs hanging out the windows as the train went over this bridge! I'll see if I can find a photo.

YEp it's an experience alright. You aren't quite sure whether the train is going to make it to whereever it's going the first time you are on it. Then the 2nd & 3rd time you don't even notice the bone crunching jarring or the worrying that the bridge may collapse!!!

No seriously, it is a great train through a wonderful part of Victoria.

Cheers, Palmina and thanks for visiting.

Hello Palmina, it must be exciting to cross this bridge perfectly fitted into the landscape; I suppose that the train will be also of the epoch of the bridge. I see that you have crossed it, your audacity does not have limit, though to take the serpents...Precious photo of a wonderful place.

Regards, Arturo.

It does look like the Bridge in the movie doesn't it? The landscape could be reminiscent of landscape in the movie.
