Great shot, Lesley. I love any street scene with a lamp post in it. This is also a nice shot of the bridge. It looks like there are a couple of boats in the right background. Nice touch. The river has the same name as my wife. Her name is Deloris, but everyone just calls her Dee. Thanks for posting such a lovely photo. Warmest regards, Mike.

I'm so pleased to read your lovely message Sonja, as always it means a lot to me and thank you my dear friend! :-))

Hello Raffaele you see beyond the surface of an image and 'get into' it. God didn't waste a pair of eyes on you did he? :-)) I always appreciate your beautiful messages and thank you! :-))

It is normally incredibly busy with tourists Marion but it was a good time to call. We tried without success to park a month ago, but we eventually drove home again and gave up on the idea. :-( We also had beautiful weather as you can see - a lovely sunset that night too, but not like your sunsets ;-)))

So happy John, particularly to have you here, and for all of your lovely comments which mean so much to me! Thank you! It's time you planned a visit to England !! :-))

Dear Mike I have a million images with lamp posts in just from this one visit. It's an extremely old Victorian styled riverbank, with even a beautiful bandstand - brass bands play regularly. All the elements are there, and how you would love it. It should be very civilised and stylish "Old England", and it was on this occasion, but not always :-(( .....a hot spot for most of the year! Give my regrads to Dee and I hope your little baby grandchild is doing well :-)) Thanks for calling, etc. you are very kind!

Lots of love from England to you all, and thanks for those awards!

Lesley

Hi Lesley, You must have been early, no people. We were there about a month ago, people everywhere. Keep snapping. John

Hi John, I'm sorry to keep you waiting but I try to work through the messages in order that they come in and I'm way behind :-((

This was taken between 6 and 7 one weekday evening when the mass exodus had taken place. A rare peace in the city as you can imagine. We did drive here a few weeks ago, and eventually drove home again without even parking it was so busy. Never a quiet city even in the low season.

Take care out there and good to see you! Lesley

A lovely way to see it Gintarele and you are so right with regard to Panoramio - people ! Absolutely right with the "romantic mood" too - at least in the quiet of the evening :-))

Lovely to see my longest panoramio friend and thank you! Lesley
