Harry Taggart on October 17, 2010

My historical searches combined with my 'schooling' tell me that this area has a long and distinguished industrial and historically important history Scally, I have no idea why the gormless figure is there either, perhaps when Britannia was put there it was the beginning of a dumping place for useless scrap!....as I said above, it's a shame!

Thanks for the info re Fife in the distance

cheers!

Mike

Thanks for the Info Mike. I've been visiting Edinburgh for 60 years, and only been down to Leith's Docks 3years ago , :) In my younger days it had the reputation of hard men, and even harder women.LOL Have you read 'Trainspotting'? cheers scally.

Well Scally, the Gormley sculpture has a great view here ;))

He must be good looking - he's attracting a lot of birds :)))

♥♥TRIKER12 on October 17, 2010

Mmmmm, that is true Bonnie wee Lassie, but can you see what the birds have done?

Harry Taggart on October 17, 2010

You,ve picked Mike up wrong Amelia, He says gormless. and it must be some stamp of approval, because my Father has been heard to say I was, and I was a Dux. I think my wife is a we bit jealous, because when ever I mention it,( not too often) she rants and raves of the poor quality of the Glasgow districts schools? Did you notice how he is flaunting his Honours at the Fife Shore, and he is wasting his time because all the good ones over there have been long snapped up. :) cheers scally.

Amelia Royan on October 17, 2010

That's why I said that he had a good view Scally :))

The next time I'm in Fife I must get my telephoto zoom on this :)

Aye Bonnie Lad, like a' women, thae burds hae nae respect fer the male form :))

Faintlightofdawn on October 17, 2010

Attracting more birds than Scally in his heyday!

Amelia Royan on October 17, 2010

I doubt that Fai, I've heard that he was a bit of a lad in his youth :))
