All you have to do is begin a hike in the middle of the night in August from Johnston Ridge to be there for the dawn.

Hi Mike. He was many miles to the northeast of this location. This area was in the direct path of the lateral blast and the landslide and is less than three miles from the volcano. Best regards, Larry
