These little yellow daisies literally "carpet the Cape Town pavements, open spaces and mountain slopes" - wherever you look, there are little yellow daisies marking the arrival of Spring in August and September.

It's a magical sight in even the most humble of settings.

We call them 'Cape Daisies!'

Mike - Cape Daisies? How interesting.

Do you think they meant the Cape Province in South Africa or even Cape Town, perhaps?

These little flowers make great daisy chains - we used to loop / thread long chains of these when we were kids!

Hope you are keeping well, Mike?

Bella sends you a large yellow-eyed "Meouw" too!

Lots of greetings to you, Amelia - how lovely to hear from you again.

I am so pleased that you like the photo, and you are right, it is a nice place to work and play, but even better when there is no strong gusting southeaster wind blowing across the City which happens a lot in summer!

Then it is literally a case of "every man for himself" as you get buffeted into guard-rails along the pavements in the City.

But at least it cools the air down on a hot summer's day.

Warmest wishes to you

Hello Hazel, this is a very nice capture of this popular scene - one of the best I have seen - very bright and such a strong wind but obviously not too cold. Like!

Greetings from Indonesia, John

Hi there dear friend -

John - its nice to hear from you, always!

I am so glad that you think this is a good version of the popular "across-Table-Bay-view-of-the-City-&-Table-Mountain"!! You may be surprised to know that there was no wind blowing - it was a lovely warm day with wind clouds around the mountain area, but along the seafront, it was quiet - the flowers stay closed if it is windy (very wise of them)!

Thank you so much for the LIKE - it is really appreciated.

Waremst greetings to you and the family,

Hazel

Thanks for your reply Hazel, as you say it is very wise of the flowers to stay closed when it is windy - I will have to watch for that in future.

Heave a nice Sunday. Greetings from Sumbawa, John
