Hi Luud,

really lovely picture of happy children! In full scale the colours and perfect structure the fabric of their cloth can be seen as well as the skin colours.

They also look so relaxed and natural, although they knowthat they are being photographed. How do you do that?

Best wishes, Timo

Luud Riphagen on February 28, 2011

Thanks Timo,I am very happy with your words of appreciation for this picture. Not everyone knows how to estimate this value. You must be faster than the children !!!

Greetings Luud

That sounds like a very simple advice Ruud,

but being faster than the children really means you got to be faster than light! I've been taking pictures of my 4 year old grandson, and he never stops. We've been joking that he hasn't learned to walk yet, only run.

Photographing people in a foreign culture is even more difficult and requires research of the local habits and conditions.

Best wishes, Timo

Interesting story about your grandson Timo, maybe you have to be something smarter. You're right a good picture always requires some knowledge .

Groeten, Wim

Thank you so much Rosi , I'm really glad you like these Ghanian children .I am sure that they appreciate it.

Groetjes Luud
