Like this B & W Steve :)) very nice curved lines, BW to you
Hiya Karin - When we first saw these, we thought they were old fortifications... They are, however, lime kilns. This link tells their story better than I could....

Hiya Karin - Sorry about using your photo as the messenger!
As for understanding everything, my appologies again... It all follows on from that short history of Guy Fawkes I gave when you first posted your photo of the bonfire...
I hope things are a little clearer..
Oh dont mind being the messenger , read yr comment about Guy, dont have to apologize BTW , :) BW to you Steve
Hiya Karin - Thanks for being so accommodating! By the way, your English is superb....
:) THNX !!!
Fabulous unusual place Steve! Love the shapes and textures of the stonework and the great climbing vines so nicely defined by the B&W! Like from me!
Happy Wishes, GG =)
Hiya GG - When we firts saw these, we thought they were medieval canon platforms... They are dottted about all over the coast, near to harbours - hence the supposition about defence... But they are Lime kilns... Long since fallen into disuse but they wonderful structures...
Thanks for the appreciative comments about this... much appreciated!
formidable composition. like.
Greetings Micha - Welcome back!
Thank you for your visit and generous words... both are very welcome!
