Sorry to her about your troubles, but at least you have your heat back, if your weather is anything like the cold and snow here in Dublin you would need it. By the way this is a lovely photo, I LIKE it. Mick

A enchanting scenery with nice reflections in the stream. A perfect place for an artist or a nice picnic. Beautiful shot Amelia! LIKE! Greetings, Annica

Another great shot, Amelia of the lovely countryside so typical in the UK. Love all the different green tones and textures. Lots of wonderful depth, too. Very nice!

Regards, Julie

I seem to have been offline for most of October, November, December, January and February!

Many thanks for all your wonderful comments, and many apologies for my lack of replies

KC, yes I love the canal walks in Shropshire, but this part of the canal is not used very often, although I'm sure it's possible to feel the chug of canal boat engines in the summer :)

Thank you GHISLAIN, I think you're right about the jigsaw puzzle, although it might be a bit of a challenge :)

Many thanks John. The canal system in the UK is not quite as spectacular as that in Holland, but these quiet corners are very attractive :))

Dear Margot, many thanks for your visit and Y*. It's a bit cold and damp at the moment, but I'm sure you'd love to crawl into this area in the warmth of a summer's evening ;)

Hello Bonnie Lad, I think that the renovation of the canal will be very sensitive to the environment, and keep this wonderful softness about it. It is a wonderful place for easy walking and quiet contemplation :))

Good afternoon kazem shokatabadi, I am very happy that you dropped by, and have enjoyed this view :))

Dear Hubs, the word 'charming' is very apt here. this little corner is a little mysterious, and I was pleased to find it :)

Hello Azzy, well as you can see, replying is not my strong point, I prefer visiting the galleries of others. I'm so pleased that you liked this quiet little corner of Shropshire :))

Dear Little Sandy, maybe it is because we have a lot more rain than you do. But we don't get the beautiful Lotus flowers. If we did, this part of the canal would become a tourist trap :))

Hello Rita, many thanks for dropping by and leaving such a nice comment :)

Hello Haggs, and thank you. A little bit different for the crags and lochs of Scotland, but gentle in its own right. I'm pleased that you liked this one :)

Good afternoon Alan, many thanks for dropping by. I', happy that you liked this sleepy canal-scape :)

Hi JBTHEMILKER, yep, bridges are fascinating and covered bridges in particular. This one is just wide enough to take one canal barge through it at any one time, like most of the canals around here :)

Good afternoon 林傑安(Enson), it is very encouraging to read comments like yours. I am pleased that volunteers are helping to maintain our canal heritage here :)

Dear Ahmet, not as spectacular as the stone bridge in Skopje I'm afraid, and I guess you'd soon get bore if this was the only thing that you could see from your office window :)

Hi Sam, how's it going? Many thanks for your compliment. I hope you're still getting out and about with your D40, or have you upgraded? :))

Warm wishes, and I hope you all have a relaxing Sunday.

Amelia
