Pedestrian Suspension Bridge

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

This bridge is the first suspension bridge built in the USA. It was originally constructed so the cattlemen would have an option to get their heard across the Brazos River in an easier and more efficient manor. The bridge was privately owned and Users would pay a fee for the cattle to cross. Of course fees escalated because of greed and the bridge ended up being purchased by the City of Waco so that its use could be regulated and used by more people who could not pay the high fees that were basically ripping people off.
