Gorgeous pic, Tomas. Composition is perfect, and I love how the gold trim just pops against the rich colours of the clock face. Both "awards" given for this one!

All the best, Mook

Thanks very much Mook, what an honor! :) Very glad to hear that you like it so much, and awarded it with both a shiny star and a like. I felt this amazing clock deserved some additional attention and tried a couple of close-ups, this was the one that came out best. :)

Cheers, Tomas

Thanks very much for the comments Nadia and Nick! And of course a special thanks to Nick for the Y*-like combo, very much appreciated indeed! :)

I can see why you have added this one to your favourites Tomas. Wonderfully clear shot of this Prague icon. I still want to call this the astrological clock though, as it shows the signs of the zodiac :)

Thanks for your wonderful comment Amelia! Indeed one of the icons from Prague, and actually a quite challenging subject to photograph (at least that was my experience). In the end this close-up turned out best.

Allow me to at least partly disagree with your alternative name for this clock. It definitely is to a large extent devoted to astronomical things. :) There's a little moon indicator (the little black sphere at the top right), and also some things related to the sun. And much more actually, there's a great description on this Wikipedia page (including a very clear schematic). Of course you're right that also the signs of the zodiac are shown though. So let's just invent a new word and name it the astronomological clock! ;)

Yet another new word to add to my Thesaurus Tomas :))

I shall have a look at that link just now :)

Beautifully captured Tomas, very skilful. I think you've ended up choosing the perfect angle here, it fills the frame superbly.

Zeer mooi detail Tomas. Prachtige klok, van de zon en de maanstand vermoed ik met een zodiac erbij.

Thanks very much Paul! Especially good to hear that you like the composition, because it took me some time to find the 'optimal' angle. :)

Dankjewel Dani! Inderdaad een prachtige klok, waarop heel wat af te lezen valt. Op wikipedia staat alles haarfijn uitgelegd, zie deze link.

Groetjes, Tomas
