Nice picture - Like
Very nice title, wonderful capture, my dear Peter.
I like it very much.
Hi Teresa and Gezginruh,
Thank you for visiting, and the 'likes'. I do not know why this goose was walking so purposefully, but I suspect in might be something to do with free food!
Best wishes Peter
Celle-ci est bien vivante! Et elle marche d'un pas très décidé. Le pas de l'oie? :)) (goose step??)??
Free food always gets me moving too, doesn't it you? :)
What a delightful shot of this gorgeous goose, taken on such a perfectly wonderful day too! It's such a HAPPY shot! One cannot help but smile when viewing such a capture. Thank you for sharing this, and may a wish you a splendid week ahead, my friend!
Hi Mary Alice,
thank you so much for your admiration of this determined goose. He reminds me so much of your wonderful duck.
You are right, it was a gorgeous autumn day, and so many other waterbirds on the lake too. Have a nice weekend. Best wishes
Hello Peter what a cracking shot of this hungry Goose marching in the sun and a "Like" from me ... pitty about the shots cluttering up your map on the right :))
Thank you Steve!
If all these visitors didn't keep bringing bread for them, they might be in the middle of the lake looking for fish or something!
Then of course we wouldn't have all those pictures blocking up the map!
Yes Steve, I had noticed they were all yours!!
And quite right too, they are all cracking pics, and well deserving of the public attention.
Thank you for the visit, and the 'like!'
You have a fascinating, thoughtful, and very different gallery, which I will give proper attention to in the near future.
Hello Peter such a great shot of this fellow strutting along on his mission.:)) It is the strangest thing, I have a shot of some geese here in my town beside a lake and the shot looks so very much JUST LIKE this one :)) I love to watch these funny little "quackers"..I like this one a lot, Peter. A great find!
thanks very much for the visit, and the nice words and the 'like'. This is a huge park, full of all kinds of different wildlife (as Steve well knows, most of the best pics of this park are his!), and of course all the young children get brought here. I guess that geese the worl over learn to associate young children with free food! I can certainly see the resemblance between our geese!
And its feet are bare!
Thanks very much Whoelius, you are right, it is a very tough goose. We breed them hard like that....
All the best to you for 2011
