Just a little something different from a horribly rainy day! This guy always seems to be sitting there as if waiting for some money to be dropped in his hands.

Greetings Who - An Elephant?? I reckon you have had too much of that "Well-hopped beer"....

As for the photo, I love it. The way you have selectively dropped the colour makes this a beauty...

Cheers

Steve

Thanks very much, Margot, Spence, MissFingertips, John, Larry, Carlos, Shijin, Natalia, archrodney and Steve.

Well, Steve, I think this is a statue of the Buddha. If my memory serves me correctly, legend has it that a little white elephant (with six tusks) entered the Buddha's mother from the right side, and 10 months later the Buddha was born. Religions tend to have this fixation with the birth canal being a one-way street, you see... :P

Just a bit of selective desaturation going on here. It was a horrible, grey and wet day, but I insisted on getting at least one photo!

I'm still chuckling about your explanation of a physical one way street, Who - quite delicately put - but those SIX tusks.... as any South African would put it, with great feeling: EINA!!! (huge expression of pain/anguish)

Hope your New Year has started off smoothly - and that you and Whoelia will enjoy a really happy, exciting and challenging 2011.

All the very best from

Hazel (in pachyderm avoidance mode)
