Carolina Wren And Her Perky Tail © All Rights Reserved

Not selected for Google Earth or Google Maps [?]

This loud little song bird is shy and can be difficult to see, but it delivers an amazing number of decibels for its size. It has rich cinnamon plumage, white eyebrow stripe, and long, upward-cocked tail.

You might notice the cobwebs wrapped around toes, gathered when stealing from a spider in the chilly month of November.

The Carolina Wren (Thryothorus ludovicianus) is native to the eastern half of the USA, the extreme south of Ontario, Canada, and the extreme northeast of Mexico.

Ciao Evans,

Bellissima immagine, complimenti, Lk

....con un piccolo espediente,

e una vaschetta di acqua,

riesco a fotografare questi piccoli uccelli,

da molto vicino,

e a pochi metri, dalla porta di casa,

mentre si lavano e si abbeverano,

un saluto cordiale, Fabio Rosati - Velletri - Italy -

Proverb for this bird is - "Every bird his tail praises" :) (It's hard to translate a proverb). Clever, beautiful and unique photos. I greet warmly the Polish - Adam.
