Nice work here, Joel - the butterfly has a super soft feel to it. Wonderful color!

Joel Skok on November 7, 2010

It sure does look soft, Kevin--anything would against a backdrop of the sharpest needles known to man--Picea pungens, Colorado spruce....Positively wicked.

this photo is really very beautiful, es una pena que en panoramio no acepten una galeria con fotos de este tipo de composición, está increiblemente buena.
saludos y abrazos amigo!!

Thanks for your thoughtful visit. Joel from cold Michigan. (Y tù sudando en Punta Arenas, me imagino)

Hi JOEL I do not comment here this picture( I do not like butterfly haha) but I would like you to react on my message in "wrong location". In my picture of the house on the dunes you mentioned a dutch community in Michigan.Close to my hometownAlkmaar there is a very small village called Eenigenburg. From that village migrated in the end of the 18th century or maybe some what later hundreds of protestants to the area around Michigan. They left a tiny church in Eenigenburg. I made tens of pictures of that church because of it fotogenic appearance and location.Above you see one of them. I would like to know if you could locate that particular group of dutch descendants , I know that a few years ago a small group from michigan made a visite to Eenigenburg.Would be nice if you could help me further. By the way :the foto itself of the butterfly is far from bad so no hard feelings.

A beautiful monarch butterfly is one of the few butterflies that can be found on different continents.

I like
