WOW Pear!
There is not much to be said of this shot that was not said above. Anyway I'm happy the Cormorant won. Gulls are often real nuisance when they want to make easy meal from other peoples catch. E.g. at the market place in Helsinki you have to be very protective with your ice cream or grilled sausage!
Sure Y*!
Best wishes, Timo

Superlative! Y*. (Incidentally, I heard somewhere that, naturally, gulls forage for food in the sea off our coastlines. Because of over-fishing by mankind the gulls are forced to look elsewhere, which is why they are an increasing 'nuisance'. I often think it's the humans that are the nuisance, not the gulls!).
Best wishes, Brian.

Easy brian01. Each representatives of a "great species" called homo sapiens, behave in the same way like this see gull. Nevertheless the picture is great! More than homo sapiens.

Bonjour Pear
The Best Of The Most Beautiful Photos !
Amicalement Ziz@

Good point well made, Irek! I do see that, now you mention it. Actually, though, I do admire 'homo sapiens' (Beethoven, Neil Armstrong, Pasteur, Einstein etc - Hitler?!!) but I would, wouldn't I?! After all, I am one of them! I still think, though, that populations of our seaside resorts should think twice before classing gulls as a mere nuisance. Gulls will be gulls (which means they will occasionally pinch my Fish'n chips)! - whereas homo sapians can choose to rise above their animal instincts! Oh dear - what a load of pompous crap! Shall I delete it? Darn it, no. Let's raid the fridge for another beer! (Hope you don't mind me 'commandeering' your page, *Pear. Just delete it all if it annoys you).
Cheers & LOL, Brian.
