GREAT CAPTURE of the elusive Blue Heron Randy! Definite like from me! I've been trying to get a shot of him for awhile. Everytime I get close enough for a clear shot, he takes off or I get chased off by something bigger. pfft! Gunna redouble my efforts next year and see what I get... probably a blur of him flying away after I've fallen into the water ;) Cheers from Ontario, GG =)

Excellent capture, Randy! Seems you got this one while the Heron had its attention well trained on something. Well done.

GG - Thanks for the comments and the Like. As for the "blur of him flying away, I got that shot too. :)

Kevin - I think he was eying his escape route. I didn't see any fish in the area, as I think the salmon have moved through already. Thanks for visiting and for the comments.

Cheers, Randy.

Nice one Randy, they're pretty camera shy aren't they.

GG, never mind the heron, we want a picture of you falling in the water!

Randy Hall on November 19, 2010

This one actually was more patient with me than most. Normally I get the photo GG described.

<<<< here it is =D see the churned water? that's where I fell twice, my leg + croc is still in there... LOL

Randy Hall on November 26, 2010

...and here I was thinking you were just saying you were clumsy (at least the "croc" you're talking about is a shoe and not the real thing) :)

Hey Randy! It would be a safe bet to say that I've fallen in 99% of any water you see on my site =D It isn't pleasant but atleast I haven't broken anything in the past couple of years... Thankful for water! =)

Another excellent shot, Randy. Not sure which I like better ... this one is a nicer close-up, but the warmth of the other one is nice as well. Is it the same shot? Well done on both! Cheers, Patty

Randy Hall on January 20, 2011

You have a good eye Patty. This is the same shot and was the first attempt at a finished product. I too thought it was lacking the warmth of the other one, so that's why it was redone.

Thanks for the compliments.

Cheers, Randy.

Regards , Imre

Randy Hall on January 28, 2011

Thank you Imre. I'm still hoping to get a better shot, as the backlighting on this one didn't help me very much. I'm glad you like it though.

Cheers, Randy.
