Sadogashima! An island full of contrasts! Where the winter sea is as black as those rocks and the summer clouds as cheerful as those living waves. Who could think that nearby lies so much sadness. Sadness engraved deep inside each and every pebble of the Sai-no-Kawara.
Longmen Town stands on the south bank of the Fuchun River in Hangzhou. In front of the town flows the Shanxi River and at the back stands the Mt. Longmen. Yan Guang, a noble character in the Eastern Han Dynasty, highly admired the town after a visit with the words: The green mountains and clean waters make the place more beautiful even than Longmen in Luliang”. From the verse the town gets its name – Longmen Town.
Longmen Town occupies an area of two square kilometers and has a population of over seven thousand citizens of which nine out of ten are descendants of King Sunquan of Kingdom Wu in the Three Kingdom Period. The town’s typical style of architecture of the Ming and Qing Dynasties has been comparatively well protected. Houses are built adjacent to each other. Lanes are crisscross but easy to find the main road. Peculiar folk customs and local traits make the town a rare place to observe typical structure and pattern of culture of patriarchal clan in southern China. 龍門古鎮は杭州市郊外の富春江の南岸に位置し、後ろは龍門山で、剡渓に面している。東漢高士の厳光はここを訪れ、「この地は山清水秀で、呂梁の龍門に勝つ」という言葉を残したため、名を得た。龍門古鎮の敷地面積は2平方キロ、住民は7千人余り、9割は呉の孫権の子孫が居住している。今でもまだ明清時代の古い建築物が残って、次次と繋がっている廊下と建物、横縦に通っている路地及び悠々な古い風情、特別な風俗習慣等。ここでは江南宗族文化の仕組み形態を考察ていただける。 용문고진은 杭州교외의 富春江남안에 자리잡고 있으며 용남산을 병풍 으로 섬계(절강성 하천의 이름)에마주하고 있다. 동한시기의 고사 엄광 (嚴光)이 <<이 곳의 산수풍경 여량용문(呂梁龍門)에 못지 않네>>란 감탄을 하여 얻어진 이름이 바로 용문 (龍 門) 이다. 2 K㎡되는 용문땅에7천여명이 생활하고 있는데 그 중 십중팔구는 오나라 손권의 후손들이다. 지금까지 완벽하게 보존되여 있는 명청시기 건물은 긴 복도로 집집이 이어지고 골목이 가로세로 뻗었으며 민속도 특이하다. 이 곳에서 강남의 종족문화의 전형적인 구조형태를 답사할수 있다.
