I was living in Malaysia 2005-09, so I had a lot of opportunities to go diving there. Most often I have been to the Tioman island.
Liveaboard trips I've done in Malaysia only to the Sembilan Islands. They were weekend trips - Friday evening to Sunday evening.
In Thailand I have been four times on liveaboard trips to the Similan Islands off Phuket. They are normally four day trips with 14 dives.
