Greetings Chilefoto, Thanks for visiting the Georgetown Loop and commenting. So often we just see the train, but I thought it was interesting seeing them adding water to the tender for the next run. It was neat to see the water run over the side of the tank when it got full. The little red spigot was where everyone washed their hands. Little details seldom seen.
Greetings Carlos, Colorado has three narrow gauge operations going. The largest is the Cumbres Toltec that straddles the Colorado New Mexico broder. Next is the Durango Silverton route in southwest Colorado. And then there is the Georgetown Loop, near Denver. It is fun and nostalgic to visit these operations and see the trains run. They are like ghosts from the past.
Greetings Jorio, Thanks again for visiting and commenting. I though it was interesting how they filled the water tank after each run and the pattern the water made when the tank was full.
Greetings Alfred, Thanks for visiting and commenting. It is nice to have a working narrow gauge railroad so close to home. The track isn't very long, but the hardware is very nice.
