Can you tell me the name of the pond just to the west of Long Plain Rd. ??

George --

I would guess that virutally all of the many rivers named "Mill River" or "Sawmill River" were named that because they powered waterwheel-driven mills when the Europen settlers built and named the roads.

Thank you for asking about the pond. I believe you mean Cranberry Pond. I've just spent a delightful hour wandering along that google-path, and am inspired to get out there in the Mount Toby area with my camera and wander along the trails.
