I love looking at your photos. Something inexplicable about the composition and color combinations which is fascinating.

I notice that you don't post the additional secret sauce information about the camera settings, is that in order to keep your "camera sauce" secret?

Dcoffey,
The "Photo details or secret sauce information, as you called it are not included with my photos because I send them to another program before publishing them to include my signature and date on the bottom. For whatever reason, when I download them afterwards, the information is always left off automatically! Besides, it is a SECRET! :) It's truly unintentional though!
Thank you very much for your kind words about this shot. I'm delighted that you enjoyed it, and sure do appreciate your praise.

Best wishes to you from Georgia this evening,

Mary Alice

Aha, I knew there must be a secret involved.

By the way, if the data is eliminated, I assume that you must be placing the locations for your photos manually in Panoramio. If you have an Apple computer with an operating system (Tiger or after) you can obtain a little piece of software which will permanently embed the GPS locations into your JPEG or TIFF photos by using Google Earth with a precision cross-hair (a standard kml file) and a droplet called Geotagger.

Once the GPS info is embedded, then you can upload the photos and Panoramio or other GPS enabled software will automatically place it.

Are you interested? If so, I can pass on further info if needed.

dcoffey, Ha! Yes, now I have let you in on my secret sauce! Yes, I do place the photos manually, as I didn't realize there was another way. I do have a Mac as well, but I'm not sure if I'm up for learning anything else complicated right now. It sounds like something I'd have to learn, and I've been learning so much already. I really don't mind mapping the photos, in fact, I rather enjoy it. Still, you are so kind to offer this information. Maybe, if I'm feeling especially spunky one day, I'll get you to help me out and I'll try to learn about it. Thanks again for offering your assistance! :) I hope your week is going well.

Best regards,

Mary Alice
