A glimpse of one of our Manchester shopping centres reflecting the Manchester Big wheel.

well spotted Herb

Herb Riddle on November 23, 2010

Nice to see you commenting on this Steve. I wondered if there would be any admirers of this kind of work?

Cheers, Herb

I don't take pictures in town because it looks boring to me. You find creative ways to make it interesting, though, Herb. These three are very nice. (And that's not to say that your other pictures aren't nice or even superb; just commenting on the three recently posted.) Well done. I don't comment often but I do want to thank you for being an inspiration to me and for sharing wonderfully artistic photos of the magical English countryside.

Laurel211 on November 24, 2010

I love this abstract creation Herb, very clever.

Herb Riddle on November 24, 2010

Art - You Honour Me! with your comment. Of course I am happy that you like these three city shots, but to be an inspiration to anyone is a rare accolade. I shall endeavour to continue with my particular views of our British countryside and hopefully pleasing my viewers.

Laurel, yes indeed, an abstract look at our city. Maybe that is a better way for some of our city views? (that being said, Manchester has many splendid views as you can see a couple more earlier in my gallery. Glad you like yet another of my pictures and I look forward to seeing you here in my gallery again.

Best wishes to you both, Herb

b.onosimoski, welcome to my gallery. Great that you like this view of Manchester. Regards, Herb

Jörn KH on November 26, 2010

An irritating explosion of lines: That's Modern Art, soon to be seen in the MoMA. I like it. Kind regards, Jörn

TonyWalker Studio4t1 on November 27, 2010

Neat shot Herb.

Herb Riddle on November 27, 2010

Jörn, welcome to my gallery, Yes, you either like or hate this picture. I suppose it could be described as Modern Art. I am a traditionalist myself but now and again I see something like this and 'click' my fingers just want to do it. Glad you like it.

Tone, nice to see you liking this one. Always good to bring a spot of colour into our lives.

Regards to you both, Herb

TonyWalker Studio4t1 on November 28, 2010

Yes nice colours and reflections. I didn't know the Arndale center had a big wheel lol. Nice all the best Tone.

Herb Riddle on November 28, 2010

Hi again Tone, yes, it is just to the back and side of the centre, also adjacent to Selfridges. Unfortunately GE does not reflect this yet, as it has only been there about 2-3 years. Its pretty big too, not quite as big as the London eye but once on it would take a good half hour or so to go all way round with splendid views I believe. - Must do that one day.

Cheers for a second visit to this picture, Herb

whoelius on December 7, 2010

Awesome shot.

Herb Riddle on December 7, 2010

whoelius, yes, one of your types of pictures here. Indeed, I would not be surprised to see similar in your gallery. Cheers, Herb

Lloyd Weeber on May 31, 2011

Interesting composition. Why isn't it on Google earth? Something broken which isn't?

Herb Riddle on May 31, 2011

Have asked for another review but who knows what these guys are thinking Lloyd.

Cheers, Herb

Paul Strasser on January 3, 2013

Great shot Herb. Very bold and colourful. L

Cheers, Paul

Herb Riddle on January 4, 2013

Paul, very happy you followed my trail here. These modern buildings all have their charms if we look for them. Lines, reflections and colours are but three.

Cheers, Herb
