Good morning P.Ø., how's Sola? I keep looking at yr.no, and it seems to be getting cold!

Many thanks for being the first visitor here, with a lovely comment. You were up as late as I was it seems.

This canal is a fascinating area for photography. At present it is being 'regenerated', parts of it have got 'dropped bridges' and so the canal is non-navigable at that point; other parts are 'out of water', but work is being down to open the whole stretch. It was used for transporting limestone from the works at Llanymynech :)

History lesson over :)

Hilsen, Amelia

Hello Amelia. Sola is cold these days; 4 to 6 below zero, and it looks like it's going to stay that way for quite a while. I'm just back from an inspection trip to our cabin at Bersagel and it was cold there too; the fjord was already starting to freeze. I can't remember ice on the fjord as early as in November ever. Now I'm just eager to empty my memory card to see if I got any presentable shots from that trip. Have a nice day! P.Ø.

Good morning Jac and Willy, and thank you for your compliment. The light is getting very low in the sky now. Good in some ways for photography, but one has to be quick :)))

Many thanks Cesar.

El Canal de Montgomery está siendo restaurado para devolverle su gloria de trabajo anterior, y los puentes están siendo renovadas.

I apologise for this translation using Google Translate. I hope you know what I mean :)

Saludos, Amelia

I loved the link dear Christian, many thanks for that! But I see that Van Gogh's bridge is rather more similar to this one in Drammen don't you think? ;)

Dear Karl, Georgy, Nico, Janina, Haggs and John, many thanks for your visits and very kind words. I think I'll have to wait until the spring time before I see this bridge opening. The canal is frozen at the moment :))

Warm greetings of the season, Amelia
