Excellent work there, mate.
Thanks Si A valued comment from one who has taken far more night shots than me!
This was the best of a bad bunch. Even with a heavy tripod it suffered from windrock. It was not as I wanted, it is spoilt by the fence. My preferred vantage point will be on the footbridge over the 174 near Eston. The draw back is leaving the car and getting out an expensive camera, its not worth the risk!!!!
Good idea. Weather wise I am waiting for a frosty, calm night - ideal for night photography. I dont think I will have to wait too long!
Great noiseless catch. Smoke is always difficult to stop, but anyway there´s no need to do at least in the picture!
That estate near that bridge, not far from Cali Bank is quite a decent area. Or, it was when I lived in Eston. But how about you go first thing in the morning?
I want the weather to ease off so I can go down to near the Gare, as there should be some good opportunities for photographing the works from there
interesting comments. its like lesson in photography (i hope you dont mind me reading) :)
im just surprised that you can go to the chemical works and set up your tripods and take pictures. a while ago we went to grangemouth and we got chased away!- security stopped us and called police, they questioned us and took our details and even asked to delete pictures we had allready... it was a bit upseting because it was really interesting layered mist morning.
Wow thats scary Unda J You can legally take photographs from a public place but if you were on private land you can be treated as you were.
One of the things I like about Pano is the fact that people offer advice. I have learnt quite a bit through reading the comments of others and viewing the extra information.
i dont think grangemouth refinery is private grounds.. :))) i could understand because of sensitivity of the place though.. still...
