Wonderful thick clouds to go with this view! The lighthouse looks so tiny, but I can imagine it's very bright at night.

I believe they said it was built in the 19th century. It's automated now, but still in use.

Another photo with your touch Marilyn...How is your knee? I hope it goes better.

Thanks, both of you. And, chilefoto, thanks for asking. It's almost back to normal. (Of course I'd like it better than normal since it's never very good!)

I visited Moreton Island in 1988. Saw the lighthouse, called Harper Lighthouse (or so I was told). Still remember that because my last name is Harper. From the beach, the Pacific was the most beautiful shade of aquamarine, and this was after a storm! Brisbane is my dream spot to return one day when I can stay longer than 12 days. Have nothing but slides from my trip, but if I can get them transferred to DVD before they fade too much, will add some photos of my 2nd favorite country.

Thanks for your visit. I only saw this from a whale-watching ship, but it is a wonderful spot, isn't it? And I saw some of that beautiful aquamarine water, too. Greetings from Canada.
