Roman Period (86 BC-267 with the Roman Forum was built just east of the Roman (86 BC by Octavian in August and with money his uncle Julius Caesar, the new commercial center of Athens, the Roman market. Thus, the market is purely political and cultural center. The brilliance of this market and general of Athens, will last until 267 AD when the invading Heruli completely destroying the entire city. Monuments Market flattened all apart from the Temple of Hephaestus, which happens, surprisingly, little damage.
