Note the 2 tourists being talked into jumping. Jumping is not a good idea.

It is about a 30 minute walk from the road to these falls, all up hill going back.

It took one guy about 20 minutes to build up enough courage to jump!

My advice is don't do it, it could really spoil a holiday!

It is a great place to swim. The water is cool as the streams are from the mountains. But after a 30-40 min walk (down) it is great to get in. As for the depth, I don't know, but ample for swimming, and the guide was telling the guys where to jump, so I guess there are less deep areas. The only problem is after your swim it is a 40 minute walk UP. That is when you need the swim.

Looked at a lot of your photos, you like trains and waterfalls, and the weather!

By the way, to get to the top of the falls takes about 40 mins from the spot I took the photo. And if you chose not to jump, then it is an even more difficult walk back!

Don't do the jump unless you are in decent shape and very confident. My husband hurt his back badly, and a friend BROKE HER BACK there.

Stick with swimming there and you will still enjoy yourself immensely. It is gorgeous.
