During the Falkland conflict in early 1982, Four of us in SF boarded F1007, and stayed on it for three weeks reporting the number of Argy fighters landing and taking off from Stanley airstrip. We used the intel in forming the final assault on Stanley. We had used cordless drills when the fighters were flying directly overhead to mask the sounds of us drilling 1" holes round the side of the old ship. My memories of F1007? Bloody cold
