The detail on these bird images is something that even Bill Oddie would be chuffed with. The Robin is my wifes favorite bird. And this is spot on

Many thanks Si I hired a quality lens and was more than pleased with the clarity. You will note from my other photos it was a white-out. Although the birds came to feed it spoilt the background. We had 8 robins feeding in one session.

Kenny, a white-out... That's an understatement! This provides some fantastic photo sessions, but when you're at work freezing your knackers off, the last thing you want to do is stand in the snow! I'll be glad when it's gone. I've seen dozens of excellent photo opportunities, but I tried getting out of the car this morning and cursed the weather for being too cold!

You hired a lens? Is that something you do often? Only I have wondered about hiring cameras as a means of finding what I want in a DSLR.

I saw some fantastic photo opportunities on the way home but did not dare stop the car in case we got stuck!

Its the first time I have hired a lens. I had heard so much about the canon L series I had to try it. These lenses cost silly money so it is the only way I will ever have one!
