Kenny these bird shots are fantastic, the detail is amazing, especially this little bobby dazzler with the droplets on his/her plumage. Its lovely to see shots like these, they are having a hard time of it just now though.Nice work mate;-))

Thanks Neil The quality is down to the lens. Canon L series is their top glass. Sadly quality always comes at a price, thats why I just hired the lens!!!

These... close up bird photo's are fantastic, Kenny...it goes to show that if you pay the price..you get the quality../..I didn't know that these lenses could be hired...but I can understand your reasoning...they retail at 'Amazon' at.. £3.780.!!!.and thats at a discount...Splendid pictures..DJ..

what a beauty! can see the droplets on feathers! brilliant! how long did it take for you to get one sitting still for a sec?! :DDDDD

Hi Unda J Wow so many comments, forgive me if I dont answer them all. Yes I had to be quick but I am beginning to learn. Watch the birds and learn where they perch. Focus on that spot and wait!! It beats waving the camera about each time a bird comes near and besides that the 300mm lens is heavy, it was best set on my sturdy tripod.

Another fabulous shot, Kenny. Wonderfully sharp - the feathers are so detailed! I am quite envious! YS Cheers, Patty.

OH! MY! GOD! How incredibly cute is that?!?!

A little pink fluff ball! So pretty and sharp it brings a tear to my eye Kenny! (That's a huge compliment from me, btw.. I'm not fond of birds... they scare the tears off me!) But that one doesn't seem to have much of a beak and a face like a grandmother, who couldn't love it?

Added to my faves so I can remind myself that they aren't all scary ;) Smiles, GG:)

For one with a fear of birds you have done well to browse my gallery.

I am glad you think the Long tailed tit is cute, perhaps it might help break your fear!!!

Love the group, World's worst photos' - and this photo of a 'short tailed' tit is wonderful :))

They are such tiny little birds, and very swift with their movements; but you have certainly caught the personality of the wee thing. Lovely clarity on the fluffed up feathers, all highlighted by the water droplets round the head and throat :)))

Thanks Amelia This shot is typical of my goofs!

Thanks, so chopped off tails and objects growing out of peoples heads does it for you then!!!!
