This such an amazing scenery Peter, your photo is stunning considering you have scanned negative/slide. What scanner are you using? photo don't seem to be blemished in any way or aged..

Hi Manoo

I used to scan pictures using a normal scanner, but when I acquired a huge number of my late uncle's slides I had to buy a scanner that would copy slides. This would also scan the negatives of film instead of the picture. I found that the quality was much better than the actual picture.

The one I bought was a bit expensive but I am well pleased with it, especially as I have a great number of slides and negatives.

It is a plustek OptiFilm 7300 and has the capability to enhance the scans, but I just use the scan. This shot was remarkably clean and nothing done to it, but on some dust is a problem but can be removed in a simple Photoshop programme.

Have a good Xmas and New Year

Hello Peter,

thank you for letting me into your little scanning secret. I have been looking at it on the web and it is bit out of my reach..good review though. I have small negative/slide scanner bought from Aldi that I use, don't get any impressive results from the negatives..but it does the job for me now..

Best Wishes..and cheers..from ..Manoo
