Hi, it was taken about 30 mins after we'd entered Yellowstone park, by the North East entrance. No idea why Panoramio thinks it is near "soda butte" whatever that may be, but it was definitely taken in Yellowstone. The precise location might be out by a mile or two depending on how accurate I married up the timestamp from GPS tracker and the photo time stamp but it won't be out by miles...
Ha! I just figured out you meant ... where is the coyote!! And that is a good question... This looks like Bison to me. :-)

Soda Butte is the name of the Creek. On the 26th August we hiked up the Lamar Valley and saw a coyote very near where your photo was taken.
