Comparing the new to the original ... differnt time of day ... different time of year ... and 75 degrees F difference in temperature! Original = 80 degrees F ... new = 5 degrees F!
KRV... You're so right about the photos and the seasons.... but that's what we enjoy doing! I really LIKE this bridge, both in the original and in this frozen version. The juztaposition of a "modern" structure nestled amongst the snow and trees really makes one stop and stare. It's really the uleimate "still life", considering there was no wind. I can almost hear the ghost whistle of the old steam engine. Thanks! VANN
Of course, I meant **KEV""... Old eyes and fingers. Vann
Very different! But with all the different parameters it has to be, hasn't it?
But again a wonderful study of this path with bridge. I like this very much and want to see another one in spring! Promised?
Vann, It really is a neat place to visit. The river beneath (New River) was frozen which, given this span was quite a sight. I must find some warm gloves that still allow me to operate the camera!
Mirk0, Thank you for the visit and comments! I wasn't sure which composition to share here so I went with a perspective similar to the original ... I'm happy that you like it!
Wolfgang, I think that is a grand idea ... and one in the autumn as well. This place is only a couple of hours from where I live and I am fortunate enough to have business in the area. Let's just hope I remember to go back with the changing seasons!
Looking good here Kev - I like the low off center angle you've chosen here. Most would go for the gun barrel I guess but this works better.
Hey, Dash, good to hear from you! I'm glad you like this one ... and I too agree it looks a little better than seeing it straight down the pipe.
Cheers, mate ~
Splendid composition for this beautiful winter scene. Greetings from California, David
Thank you David - very much appreciated!
I like it!
How's this for the autumn version?
Hi Javerburg, I feel honoured that you point to a photo of mine! Thanks :-)
Emerson, Thank you for the visit and comment!
Jeroen and Wolfgang, ha! yes, I can imagine it looks very much like this one. Nice fine ... to both of you ...
