What is the Dragontail? The snow between the center and right peaks?

Matt Lemke on December 12, 2010

Dragontail is the name of the large mountain in the center. It's called that because the summit area has many small pinnacles that look like a rugged dragon's tail from this perspective.

I should also mention that this face of the mountain points due north so the sun hitting it is actually pretty rare.

How often I have read the "experts" declare that the sun or the light is best before 10:00 am or after 2:00 pm. Some even go as far as to say it's only good before 8:30 AM or after 3:30 pm. I'm glad you have proven them foolish.
