Fascinating..they look beautiful (although I don't like them in my garden).

Pom', on December 5, 2008, said:

I don't like them either in my garden Wolf ! when I find one of them it gets a free maiden flight to the next piece of waste land ;)

Wolf-im-Schafspelz, on December 5, 2008, said:

Aren't they eatable? Escargots in herbed butter? But maybe not those little ones. On the other hand: they look very BIG and nutritive on this photo ;-)

Bon appétit

Armagnac, on December 5, 2008, said:

no food for a Wolf ! these ones are tiny, we don't eat them (maybe some really starved people do). we eat the way bigger escargot de Bourgogne ; it's quite decent if well prepared ; but I prefer these little cuties

Gutten Appetiten ;)

That? You can't be serious, brrr! I prefer to stay hungry ;-)

Pom', on December 5, 2008, said:

I am serious ! they taste quite good indeed, and it's way more delicate than snails (snails are good only if you use more garlic, parsley and butter than snails, and if the white burgundy wine is decent)

amitiés, Pom'

Probably you're right, Pom'/Armagnac, I would love to eat them - if nobody tells me what I have on my plate. I never tried, so it's impossible for me to form an oppinion about that. But i trust you, and if i ever have the chance to have a taste of this, I will do so.

Best wishes

we once had some British friends of us at home and they weren't afraid to try ; they found it good (remember taht they call us the French "frogs") !

it tastes like chicken. nothing to be afraid of ;)

Wolf-im-Schafspelz, on December 5, 2008, said:

Good to know ("like chicken"). I can imagine, it's an enjoyment to eat, but I wouldn't like to prepair. Maybe there's a restaurant nearby, where frog legs are offered. I think about that - and later I tell you.

á plus tard

Pom', on December 5, 2008, said:

I never had to prepair them ; at the most I cooked them but they were ready ! but you know Wolf prepairing a fish or a chicken from a living animal to a dish is not very pleasant either. Unless you just eat them raw, like wolves do ;)
