Greetings Douglas, Wow, they do night right at the palace don't they. I like the way your lens and diaphragm work the light burst. Hand held or tripod?

Cheers,

Rich

Hi Rich,

Glad you like the night shots. For shots like these my camera needs a steady support. The exposure was about 4s. I don't usually carry a tripod round with me as they tend to be a bit unwieldy. This shot was taken by supporting the camera on a handy fencepost.

Hello, I am currently trying to win some work in this part of Glasgow and would really like to be able to use some appropriate pictures in my proposal. Would you consider letting me use your wonderful photo? Kind regards, Vicmic

Hi Vicmic,

Sorry my photos are copyright and I have only agreed for them to be shown on Panoramio and Google Earth.

Best wishes in your search for work. Some of my family members are looking for work just now and finding it hard going.

Lovely shot Douglas. I don't carrying a tripod too often either. Too cumbersome at times. Usually always something to lean and steady the camera when out and about in cities.
