Any one pick out the baboon visible in the rock formation?

Closed on March 24, 2011

WHOA very cool MARQ, I hadn't noticed the baboon, hey! there's a lioness above him and the mouth and nose of a roaring pika above her! (O:3

Scorched Earth Photo… on March 24, 2011

It's not a baboon -it's an Orangutan !

Itallica II on March 25, 2011

It's a big busted baboon - almost the right half of the Rock formation in the image - different profile than the orangutan head

The earth was rotating at 750 mph so the moon was climbing the latter rather quickly and I didn't have time to switch lenses since the lense I needed was 100 miles away in my other camera bag !

Howdy Doug Best - gotta love what Mother Nature provides for the photographer - stumbled upon this scene some 20 + years ago . Timing and lighting are critical , and you only get 10 minutes ( depending on lens ) to record it if there are no clouds in the sky !
