Hi Robert. Nice shot. When were you here?
Happy New Year to you. I was over there with my eldest daughter during June 2010. I firstly flew into LA. Then a day later drove to Vegas for 4 days and from there I did the Grand Canyon. Next it was Zion NP, followed by Arches NP, Bryce Canyon, Yellowstone NP, the Tetons, and a 3 day stop at Bear Lake. From there it was a short stop at Ogden with my sister in-law, then back to Vegas for a couple of extra days and finally back to LA. A grand total of 3,850 miles in 2 weeks. I was shattered after all that.
Having said that, it was well worth it. You have some really spectacular scenery over there. I love it and will be back again some time soon I'm sure.
I was hoping to meet you sometime when you are here. I know how hectic things can be on a trip and how little time there is to see everyone especially someone you don't really know. Maybe one day. Looks like you had a great time. Did your daughter enjoy the trip? How was the jet lag? My wife and I went to Alaska on a cruise with her dad this year. It was a lot of fun. We were lucky to have great weather on the whole trip.
