I never saw the Trent looking quite that picturesque when I lived in Stoke. Pity really.
By the way, maybe you'd also be interested in the ice and frost group?
This is the northern end of the Trent, close to where it joins the Ouse to form the Humber. It is a wide, strong tidal river here. I'm on the east side where there is a steep hillside with views across the river, over the flat land to the west. It's refered to as the Trent Valley, but it's only half a valley with a slope on just one side.
The Ice & Frost group looks innteresting. I have a few icy pictures from last winter's big freeze. This winter has been mild, so far...
