Thank you for your appreciation of this image, Icike.
And Happy New Year.
WOW! Beautiful work of art. I am trying to figure out how you made it, Ian.
I mean I know it's a long exposure shot. But I am trying to figure out what it is.
Hi Ah-Pong. First thanks for your appreciation.
Let me explain. As you will see in the Tags, this was received and created while I was at the art gallery. The installation was a static one: many different sized and brightly coloured illuminated balls were suspended in a dark cubic room. The walls were mirrors and the floor a shallow pool of water.
So the movement in the photo is my intentional movement of the camera. And each trace is repeated in the mirrored walls, ad infinitum. I am sure the artist is a crazy woman but I am sure her work is made even more stunning when the viewer chooses to be crazy also and interact with it. In that case I am the crazy one.
Sure pleased you enjoyed 'our' combined work.
Each of the images on either side of this in my gallery are other results from my 1 minute that I was allowed inside the exhibit. In "Extended Family Portrait" I was making use of the UV light by including us and therefore our clothing in the image.
I trust the 3 images together appeal to you more so, now that you have some idea of what I was doing in a dark cubic room in 1 minute.
I love interactive art galleries.
