Wow Phil, it looks like brand new in this pic :-) Makes you realize just how big it was!! I'm amazed at the power of the ocean to totally reduce this enormous ship to NOTHING....good photo!

Hi Geerten, the ship was blown off it's moorings and ran aground in a gale in 1988...

People dive on the remains ofvthe wreck here now, apparently the engine room is now accessible
I went here today ( June 2015), and all that's left are four ribs of the hull that can be glimpsed in between swells... Otherwise it's all but gone.. Top image Phill!
