Historic Kingston House

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

It was built in 1840 and was the home of George Strickland Kingston and family. He was the deputy surveyor to Colonel Light. His son, Charles Cameron Kingston was the South Australian Premier from 1893 to 1899 and then went on to be a minister in the first Federal Government. Kingston House and it's land were purchased by the State Government in 1919 and the House was fully restored in 1983.
