Excellent photo dear Suzi - definitely **Mondrian :))

Great structure and a good lesson in verticals and horizontals :)

Amelia Royan on January 6, 2011

Why is it not mapped BTW?

Suzi in Oregon on January 6, 2011

Hi, dearest Amelia - I'll map it, though the original photo is on GE already - I don't know where the barge is at the moment :) It was fun playing with this in PhotoShop. Thanks to some of my European friends in Pano, especially Billy and Theolfa, I am gleaning an education of artists, old and new. I fear that our national education system is terribly lacking. So you all just keep telling me 'this photo reminds me of...' and I'll keep alleviating some of this ignorance. I so miss Billy's input! Thanks for your interest and lessons, dear friend - here is a shiny crisp apple and a hug (O:

Hi, Suzi! I'm still trying to catch up on things and I only just noticed you dedicated the colour version to Billy & me! Thank you! I'm honoured. Cheers! Theolfa

Great work Suzi! I would say Frank Lloyd Wright... Mondrian is more like THIS! Like 5! Greetings, Dick

Thank you all for the wonderful comments, Nick, Patricia, Theolfa, Shalom, Jim in Ireland, hervé, Billy, Bruce, GuoJunjun, Jethro and Dick. This was a fun project plus I learned about another artist. I agree, Dick - it's not bold or primary enough for Mondrian (thanks for the link). I've always been captivated by Frank Lloyd Wright's work. Happy January everyone - keep warm - Spring is coming (O:
