I have to admit, you are both far more qualified on these matters than i am,especially you **Jim as its your home town and you are so passionate about it,rightly so too. I like Jeff am a regular visitor,Whitby is one of those rare places that draws you back time after time,Winter and Summer,i know many people will feel the same. Another Blackpool!! no thankyou very much,i've only been once, never again.Whatever happens regarding developement i only hope its of benefit to the town, especially the fishing families. Beautiful picture, Neil. I came over from Jim's link to read the discussion about Whitby's quayside. It was interesting to zoom in and see the buildings being talked about. Greetings from Arkansas. Guy

Hi there Guy,thanks for calling in.This isn't Whitby at its best, just as Jim pointed out,on the 1st page,it was a dull grey day and this is an edited version of the original. However, i'm pleased you like it,and i hope you enjoyed reading the comments even though its not very good news.Obviously you will have seen Jims images of his home town,if you're ever in Northern England this is one place to put on your visiting list.

Best wishes...Neil.
