Knossel, K@rin * and *Tomas ~ Thank you for your positive comments, I appreciate them so much! When I saw this beautiful Hawk landing on a tree just by chance, I hopped out of my car. The tree was up on a hill and I kept shooting as I was crawling up the icy and snowy hill hanging on to grass and shrubs, trying not to scare him (I must have been an entertaining sight for anyone watching me). I got within about 20 feet. He was there for about 15 minutes, kept an eye on me, but didn't seem scared...I couldn't believe my luck! I didn't want to bother him any more and while I was figuring out how to get back down without breaking my neck, he left. I'm not sure I'll ever get a chance like this again!

Great capture Rena. LIKE

I worry about whether he obtains foods this season.

Don't worry Axl, there are plenty of small birds and squirrels to satisfy this incredible raptor! Thank you for caring, I wish I could bring all animals into my house in the winter! :)))
