This picture is taken at the top of a flight of 7 locks up-canal of Kingswood Junction. A very picturesque junction with its many pine trees and picnic areas. There are also several charming split bridges on this stretch of water along with barrel - roofed cottages and old National Trust workshops and maintenance yard which are still used by British Waterways. The junction is where the Stratford upon Avon and the Grand Union canals run parallel for a short distance and are connected via a further short stretch of water known as the Lapworth Link.
