Dang! Hiawatha would be impressed! I met Lyndon Johnson a few meters from here in 1964. It was a very dry summer. They had to open dozens of fire hydrants near the creek upstream of the falls, to "pump it up" for the Prez. It worked. He chose Hubert Humphrey to be his veepmate.

I heard that Lyndon Johnson never bothered to look at the Falls despite the effort to pump it up.
