Another unusal place, but this time you were not alone photographer here, Gudrun. It looks impressive also on the map.

Happy discovering the ocen bottom without diving!

Thank you, Tom! This is one of the places all tourists visit - but if you're early you can escape the tours from Uyuni which start to arrive at noon....it's a magic place!

Gudrun, when I travel on the bike, I am often out of sync with guided tours - I am too slow. :)

A pair of Czech cyclists made it on the bikes across Salar Uyuni. They even had not to use road, surface is said to be very flat and smooth, mostly suitable for biking. But some parts are "melting".

Cheers, Tom

The salar is like a motorway compared to the rest of the "roads";-) True about the melting parts, especially near the shores- that's why the salar is dangerous! I think the worst everywhere on the altiplano is the dust -and the altitude of course.

If you're too slow, all the better! You'd arrive in the afternoon after the crowds have left and could watch sunset and sunrise there:-)

Cheers, Gudrun
